What is your refund policy?
Macaya is committed to customer service. We are happy to accept returns or exchanges for any items you are not completely happy with. The item(s) MUST be returned to Macaya LLC within 14 days of the shipping date in new and unused condition. Without exception, returns must be sent UPS, Federal Express, Express Mail or Priority Mail. All returns must be insured for full value.

Return to: Macaya LLC, 462 Ridge Street, Newark, NJ 07104 Attn: Returns. Please complete and include the Return Form put your order number on the outside of the box, and indicate the reason for return.

All refunds and exchanges are fulfilled once we are in receipt of original merchandise. All merchandise MUST be returned in saleable condition. Shipping and handling on returned merchandise is non-refundable.

Returns for Refund
A refund will be issued to you in check form for the value of the merchandise. Please note that we cannot refund any shipping charges.

Returns for Exchange
Your new style or size choice will be shipped within the next 2 business days after receipt of original merchandise. If the requested item is out of stock, we will notify you by email of its expected ship date. If you do not wish to wait, we will be happy to issue you a refund or store credit.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Checks and Money Orders (no cash please). If you would like to pay by check or money order, please print out our order form, complete and send the form along with your check or money order (payable to Macaya LLC) to 462 Ridge Street, Newark, NJ 07104 Attn: New Orders. Orders will be processed upon receipt, if the form is incomplete or payment is insufficient, all materials will be sent back to the purchaser.

Where is your company based?
Macaya LLC is a New Jersey based company.

Will I be charged tax on my purchase?
If your order is being shipped to New York, you will be charged NY sales tax on clothing. New Jersey does not charge sales tax on clothing, and because we do not currently have a presence in any other state, we are not required to collect sales tax in those states.

Please note that, for all international orders customers are responsible for customs and import duties of the destination country. Because these duties vary by country, Macaya LLC cannot determine what these fees will be. For more information, please contact your local customs office.

For delivery outside the United States, the following charges will be added to the US rates: Canada - an additional $10US per order; Mexico - an additional $35US per order; Outside North America - an additional $40US per order. Please note, delivery to Canada will take 12-17 business days.

Any duties and taxes incurred are the responsibility of the recipient and are payable upon receipt of the goods.

Where did the name Macaya come from?
Macaya LLC is named after Pic Macaya (Macaya Point), one of the highest mountains in Haiti. On this mountain is Macaya National Park, Haiti's only National Park. The National Park provides water for Plaine des Cayes, Haiti's most productive agricultural region, and is the only piece of land in the country ever sanctioned by the government for preservation. Macaya National Park has extremely rich biodiversity and houses many of Haiti's exotic plants and animals. The National Park has remained relatively undisturbed until recently. Now the Park is threatened by inappropriate agricultural practices and deforestation by peasants seeking to merely survive. Macaya, much like the National Park, is trying to do its part to help save the country.
